About Alycia
Alycia M. Bertles is the Office Manager with over 20-years in the nonprofit sector. Alycia’s most recent position was as the Teen Director at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Mercer County. As the Director, Alycia had the opportunity to work with approximately 300 teens (ages 13 to 18 years old) between September and June and manage five grants worth over three million dollars. The program offers the teens college tours, CPA and Entrepreneurial workshops, Youth of the Year (up to $100,000 scholarship), Career Launch, college prep/SAT/PSAT workshops and many more opportunities.
Additionally, Alycia is a certified part-time Assistant Adjunct Professor at Mercer County Community College (MCCC) and a NJ certified secondary high school business teacher. Alycia started her teaching career as the Business/GED Instructor with Isles Youth Institute in Trenton, New Jersey. This position offered Alycia the opportunity to coordinate a partnership with TCNJ’s accounting department and Isles’ micro business groups. Isles is structured to help youth achieve long-term goals in the areas of education, employment and empowerment.
Furthermore, Alycia has over 20-years administrative and special events experience with the Visiting Nurse Association, The Epilepsy Foundation, and Pre Finish Metals. The positions permitted Alycia to run golf outings netting more than a million dollars, organize and manage payroll, scheduling, vendors, and monthly reports.
Alycia graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University with a Master of Administrative Science, is an NJ Certified Secondary Business Teacher, a Certified Assistant Adjunct Professor at Mercer County Community College and attends Capella University’s Ph.D. Public Policy Program.
