About Wyatt

Wyatt Earp is an international representative for the third district of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW).  IBEW is a labor union which represents 750,000 workers who work in a wide variety of fields, including government, utilities, construction, telecommunications, broadcasting, manufacturing, and railroad.

He began his apprenticeship as an electrician in 1979 and was initiated into Local 400 where he served in various positions from examining board, financial secretary, organizer, and business manager.

As an advocate for business labor partnerships, Wyatt has been active and vocal in the effort to build a better New Jersey and to raise awareness on the issues affecting the changing workplace for his members. He has worked with coalitions supporting the re-licensing of carbon free nuclear generation; upgrading coal power plants to new technology; and the building of natural gas, solar, and wind facilities.

When he is not representing IBEW, he serves on various boards and positions including president of the Monmouth Ocean AF-CIO Central Labor Council, executive board member of the New Jersey State AFL-CIO, member of the Private Industry Council, member of the Workforce Development Board, president of the Ocean County Meals on Wheels, and is the chairman of the Ocean County Democrats.

Wyatt was born and raised in New Jersey and has three grown children, Alex, Katrina, and Valerie.
